Hyori's Bed and Breakfast Season 2 Episode 5 Recap

We get a glimpse of last week episode.
How they're having fun sledding.
It still looks fun.
And the mirror ball!
And how the Judoist having a hard time because their flight cancelled.
And Sangsoon new song.
We get to hear the complete song as the opening of new episode.

Meanwhile, the guest having a feast with so much food they bought.
Yoona seeing the Judoist silently eat their food, comments that they must be really tired today.
All of them eat deliciously.
And it's snowing again.

Sangsoon warms the Ger for guest to have fun.
And Hyori setting up the mirror ball.
Then both of them plays well together.
It begin with romantic dance ends with EDM dance. Hahahaa.
Of course it's Hyori who is having so much dance by herself.
And Sangsoon do the lighting with mirror ball while admiring her.

The dance gradually become more intense. Hahahhaaaa.

After calming down, Hyori goes back to house to invite the guest over to Ger.
She still short of out of breath and explain to guest that she's so tired after dancing.
Hahahahaa.
One of Surfer said: we should take the mic out.
Found out that the Surfer prepares a gift for Hyori, a bluetooth-speaker-microphone.
Just perfect for the mirror ball!

In no time the atmosphere heated again.
Yoona and Hyori sing Fin.K.L (Hyori's former group) trademark song, To My Boyfriend.
That song was so famous back then and Hyori's image was more like an innocent fairy during this era. Hahaa.

All the guest having a blast.
But, Sangsoon hates it. Lol. I don't really get why he doesn't like it, but he looks cute sulking like that.

After eat, all the guests goes to Ger to play more.
Meanwhile, the new guest, the fourth guest, the Backpacker, also come: 2 men. It suppose to be a 3people group, one more person will come the next day due to some circumstances.

The new guest just having a hard day. Their flight was cancelled and barely have a new flight to go ti Jeju that day. They wait in airport for more than 12 hours.
That must be so tiring.
For the tiring guest, employee makes a beef-seafood ramen for them.

It's about the time for Yoona to rest, while in the Ger the situation is heating up.
The Ger feels like a night club with all the noisy sound and the lighting by mirror ball.
Looks so splendid and not so Jeju-ish. If you know what I mean, hhahaa.

After settling the sleeping arrangement, Sangsoon and Hyori also having a rest in the studio.
Suddenly Hyori mentioned that JiEun (a.k.a IU) won Daesang (best award) the day before.
The couple then decided to have a call with her.
Ah, I miss her a lot. It so nice to see a glimpse of her again.

The couple tells JiEun their situation right now: the B&B now having 12 person guest!
Gasp!
IU also having her time to say hi with the pets.
The couple said, it just been a few days since B&B is re-open, but their eyes already swollen due to tiredness.
They tell JiEun that fortunately, the new employee, Yoona, works so well and starts to brag:
- she is tall, so she can reach higher place without so much difficulties. One thing that Hyori and JiEun can't relate. Well, me too.
- she can drives
- she also good using vacuum cleaner
- she is good at cooking
- and even can peel abalone well
JiEun: "then I will compared with her much," with such worry voice.
Sangsoon: "it seems like you need to work harder" jokingly. Hahaa.
Sangsoon out of the blue bragging about his new permed hair, to which Hyori yell: why would you tell her such a thing? what does have to do with her?
Sangsoon: I just want to say something to her.
HAHAHAAA.
The phone call end.

Hyori tells Sangsoon to text Yoona saying: hey, you crybaby. are you sleeping? are you crying?
The way Sangsoon narrates while texting Yoona sounds so greasy and hillarious.
Hahahaaa.
The couple seems to just made a new nickname for Yoona, Im Crybaby.
On the different place, Yoona burst into laughter reading the text and give reply sincerely saying:

"It's my first time doing this, so I don't know if I'm of any help but I'll do my best as your employee to make sure you two won't be uncomfortable during the time we're together. You must have been tired today, too. Sleep well and I'll see you tomorrow."

Aaah, such a good person Yoona is.

The employee all now resting.
In contrast the guest having their time until very late, past midnight.
Yeon sisters and Judo player sleep on the second floor.
And all the boys sleep on the first floor.
All of them sleep in their comfortable spaces.
That's how the B&B ends their full day.

Next morning comes. The 4th day.
The first one to wake up is Hyori. That's rare.
She's in bright condition. Thanks God.
It always fun when she is in her bright mood.
She goes to work happily.
One of the surfer already awake. To him Hyori ask where the mic is.
The kind surfer look for it in half awake condition.
Found it!
Hyori then ask him to teach her about how to use the mic.
Understand how it works, Hyori excitedly goes back to studio where Sangsoon still sleeping.


I'm having a great feeling about this.
She giving Sangsoon a wake-up song sweetly.
Sangsoon just puzzled by Hyori's singing and try to sleep again to no avail.
Hyori wont give up.
Sangsoon gives up.
He even request a song to Hyori, Snowy Night by Jo Ha Mun.
Hahahhahaaaa.

Snowy Night is such a bright song. It put up my mood quickly.
Soon enough, the couple having so much fun.
Then Hyori decide to wake up the guest using this song!
Sangsoon: "Don't do it. We planned to let them eat and sleep well"
But, of course, ignored by excited Hyori. Lol.
It seems like the B&B motto already forgotten by Hyori in the 4th day.

The guest all woken up, puzzled. But no one complaining.
Instead they get just as excited like how Hyori is.
All of them wake up happily.
Big thanks to excited Hyori.
Hyori in bright mood never disappoint!
That is my favorite scene in all episode.

Hyori start making the breakfast: Potato Soup, with help from Yeon younger sister, YeonSun.
Suddenly they're talking about the Yeon family.
Found out that the sister actually have brother, the middle child.
Unfortunately, the brother has a disability, he has down syndrome.
YeonSun tells that their brother always call her whenever he is happy, but whenever he is sad he call their older sister.

Hyori said: "He must want to rely to their older sister and he must really love the younger sister. The brother must not want her sad that's why he only calls when he is happy."
YeonSun tells Hyori: "During my young age, I actually embarrassed by my brother. I even pretend not to know him. And now I feel sorry about that time. Because my brother actually loves me so much. Even if I don't do anything, he loves me. I thought love should be give and take. When I was little, I act as translator for my parent since they don't understand what he is saying. I understand him because I'm with him all day long, while my parents both are working."
Hyori: "Then you also already give him a lot. You were always with him. It's the best to have someone who understand you well. The best give you can give is understanding someone's words. The one and only person who can understand you when nobody can't. To him, that must have been you. Both of you already do give and take."

I want to tell you again, this is one reason I love this show. It is so heart warming.
How Hyori always can listen and give warm words to her guests.

Time to change the mood.
Cuts to Yoona prepares to go to work.
Judo athletes going to first floor after done preparing for their check out.
All of them gathered on the first floor when outside is snowing again.
The snow just so pretty that Hyori wants to make slow motion video with Yoona as the model.
The process of video making is actually not much but the result is satisfying.
It's Yoona. It's already an art with her in it.

Hyori shows off the video to all the guest repeatedly.
One of the surfer even cannot take his eyes off the video.
I can feel you, bro.

Time to continue breakfast making.
Hyori is deep in her thought while stirring the soup.
Hyori said to Yoona who is prepare strawberry beside her: "Yoona, I call my parents when I'm happy, but I never call them when I was sad."
Ah, she still think about what Yeon sister said earlier.
Yoona: "I agree. I call them first when good thing happens, but when I sad I talk to my sister. I talk a lot with my friends too."
Hyori: "That's healthy. I'm the youngest in the family but I was also the breadwinner. I never tell my parents when something bad happens. I called my mom once after drinking a lot. I was crying so much but can't tell what really happen."
Hyori: "Being a family is a special thing. But getting married means you and someone else becomes a family. That's very special too. Suddenly someone just become your family. Someone who used to be a stranger."

Yeah, that so much true. Marriage is really something special.
You make someone else become your family, become your eternal friend, and to them we can bare everything.
It makes me think about my marriage and feel thankful.
See! I love this show!

Time for breakfast.

After meals, Judo athletes and Hyori sat together at living room when suddenly Hyori ask about their foot size.
Out of the blue, she gift shoes for each of them. Wow.
He also makes the athlete try a red high heels to which they wear uncomfortably.
How cute. It's okay girls, high heels is really not for everyone.
Hyori ask Yoona to show them how to wear them.
And of course Yoona do that gracefully.
Living up her name as second generation best girl group.

After having fun, Judo athletes check out.
Saying goodbye for the second time.
Fortunately they really can go home today.

Yeon sister also check out today.
They give letter to Yoona and Hyori.
The sisters tearing up before leaving.
It was really a short time but the guest grow affectionate to each other.

The Backpacker and Surfer also goes out and the house now empty.
Yoona and Hyori takes personal time to read the letter that Yeon sisters gave.
We don't get to know the content but both of ladies cry after reading the letter.
It must be very personal and touching for them.

Through the snow, a new guest coming, the fifth guest, a group of 3 men and one person will come later, thus 4 in total.
Wow.
The B&B now full of male, 10 person in total.
It will get really masculine. Hahahahaa.
As protocol, they give a call to B&B and Sangsoon gives them the address.

We got the see the Surfer enjoy their time.
They go to Jungmun beach to surf, IN SNOWY WEATHER.
They look so good doing what their best at.
Surfing in freezing cold sea, but they seems not bothered.

Salute.
Respect.

The employee in house doing their hard job cleaning all the mess.
Sangsoon let Yoona hear his new song.
The song is so calm and shooting.
The song also have Hyori's version and it soon become comedy. Hahaha.
Sangsoon also plays a demo song which don't have lyrics yet.
Hyori suggest Yoona to write lyrics for the song.
Yes, please! It would be better if Yoona also can sing that song.

Not long after, the expert come to fix the broken boiler.
They change the broken faucet and skilfully fix the problematic boiler.
Now, all the guest can try the open-air warm tub.
Problem solved.

Hyori having a nap since she is not feeling well again.
Yoona and Sangsoon also takes break chatting at dining room, when the phone ringing.
What?!
Is the guest having problem??
Turns out there is a group of 4 girls coming as guest.
ANOTHER NEW GUEST!
WHOAAA.

There are so much guest right now.
There are no place for them to sleep.
And Sangsoon need to go to Seoul tomorrow.
Hyori even sick.
Employee in panic mode now when the episode ends.

Hyori's Bed and Breakfast Season 2 Episode 4 Recap

Hi guys.
Let's have our healing time by watching the new episode.
Yoohoooo...

The episode start with early morning on 3rd day, but the weather still not get any better, it's snow storming outside.
Fortunately the weather get better on morning. Jeju's peaceful morning come.

The guest start waking up and surprised about how the snow piling up outside.
Hyori also waking up and looks so much better that yesterday.
Meanwhile,the Judo players waking up in deep worry because of the snow.
They might not be able to go home today.
They might not be able to go out from the house.
To make thing worse, they really need to go back today because of their training schedule.
But, to my surprise, their worry is not that.
They're worried because there might be nothing to EAT.
HAHAHAHAHAAAAA.

There is another warning message telling them that Jeju airport is suspended due to snow.
All the guest is isolated inside house, they won't be able to do their planned schedule.
While everyone worrying, our employee, Yoona, just woken up and is late and rushing to go work.
The morning angel.

The employee make the breakfast: porridge and fried lotus root.
Realize that there are no much food left. First crisis of the B&B for this season.
But Hyori and Sangsoon reassure the guest that they don't have to worry.
They will make them food no matter what.
They will do anything to acquire food.
Even if they have to walk out with backpack.
They even will go to field and dig up some potatoes.

THEY'RE HILLARIOUS.
And somehow I can imagine they really will do that. Hahaa.

Finally the breakfast is done and all of them eat deliciously.
But the problem, the real problem is: THE WEATHER.
It's not getting any better.
I actually starts to feel worry about them.

Some of guest get together in living room when Hyori sneakily try to attack one of the Judo girl, which of course fails, hha. But the athlete admit that Hyori have a great strength.
One of tiniest Judoist even said that she might really lose if they spar together. Lol.

Hyori ask: do you also can they win againts guys?
One of Judoist: Guys like them (pointing at the surfer, lol)
One of Surfer: What do you mean by 'Guys like them'?
They explain because the surfer is a novice so they might can win.
Hahahahaaa. Cute.

Suddenly, Sangsoon phone rings.
Everyone tensed up since it might another guest will come.
The lodging already packed enough with limited food source and place to sleep.
Apparently it's indeed the new guest but they inform the couple that they flight is canceled and they're still looking up for solution.


Since there is not much to do in the house, Hyori propose to use open-air bath.
But then another problem arise: the water is not coming out, it's frozen.
Oh my God! They're doomed.
There are really so much problem running a B&B during winter.
Sangsoon tries to heat up the faucet with hot water so it can unfreeze, with Yoona as assistant.
The water is coming out...
BUT, the faucet is a bit broken and it's not the hot water which come out.
T-T
The positive thing, the faucet is not clogged up anymore.
They leave the faucet open so it's not frozen again.

Finally the Judoist are checking out with such a bittersweet feeling.
Even the other guest also feel sad for their leave.
They must gotten close in such a little time.

With the Judoist leaving, the other guest (Yeon sisters and Surfer) also going out together.
I really like to see them going out together like that.
People are really tend to get close easily during travelling.
And I think the chosen guest to appear to this show must have such a nice personality, so it would be easier to get along with each other.
The employee being left with empty house.

Not long after, Hyori receive message and call from one of the Judoist.
They get informed that the Judoist cannot go up the slope!
Poor Judoist sounds so scared.
Well it really is scary because the car can slip all the time.

The fact is, on the way to the B&B house, there is a pretty deep slope. The slope will difficult to overcome unless they have four-wheelers.

With the Judoist not knowing what to do, just then Sangsoon comes to help.
It suppose to be such a panicking situation, but the editing makes is so funny.
They put Goblin OST when Sangsoon walks to the Judoist with such dramatic effect.
I LAUGH SO HARD. HAHAHHAAA.

Sangsoon tries to drive the car but it's really hard for the sedan to overcome the slope.
Eventually, the Judoist try to push the car with Sangsoon inside as a driver.
AND IT'S WORKS!
Fortunately they can overcome the slope together.
Really, do not underestimate the power of Judoist.
The girls are awesome.
They starts to continue their journey to airport with grateful heart.
THEN THE GOBLIN OST IS THERE AGAIN when Sangsoon walking back to home.
I CAN'T. HAHAHAA.

Receive a good news about the Judoist, finally Hyori and Yoona can relax.
Hyori wash up and Yoona clean the house. Our hardworking Yoona.

On the afternoon, the employee decide to go to a nearby restaurant for lunch.
Well, they really don't have much food in the house anyway.
They unexpectedly meet with their guest which apparently cannot go out further because of the frozen road.
Hyori fascinated by how close their guest become. Me too.
They really get along well.

Hyori ask what would they do after this.
The Surfer might go for surfing but they don't really now if they can make it there.
Me like: why surf in that weather???
The Sister will just go to a cafe and chill out.
Then Hyori propose such a great idea: SLEDDING.
The idea get an enthusiastic response.
Suddenly everyone in such high spirit.

After eat, everyone heads to the hill near the house for sledding.
One the way to hills, Yoona calls the Judoist asking for their condition.
Unfortunately, their flight is cancelled but they'll head to airport first. Aw.

On the hills there are already some people gathered there.
The scenery is really beautiful.

It looks like a place especially made for sledding, but actually it just a nearby hills.
The climbing must be hard but going down will be FUN!
The hills actually can give them a pretty good speed when going down.
IT LOOKS SO MUCH FUN!
If I can withstand cold better, I really want to do it, but I can't. My lazy body wont be able to leave the warm house, not to mention climbing up the hill. Hahahaaa.

They're having fun for a while.
Judoist call the couple and tells that the flight for today all totally canceled.
Sangsoon tells them to come back to the house by taxi, he will pay the fee.
After that, they gather up in some cafe for having warm drinks.
The guest then go to grocery shop and the employees go back.
The employees having some a leisure time.
Hyori drawing. Yoona reading poetry book. Sangsoon practice DJing for his show.

On the Jeju airport, the Judoist try to book another flight for tomorrow.
The airport flooded with people who cannot flight today.
The awesome thing is, the airport give a proper support to the stranded travellers.
The travellers given blanket, pillow and mattress for rest.
After talking to some airlines, fortunately they manage to book another flight tomorrow.
Thanks God.

On the house, Yoona told Hyori that actually she bring some stuff for some indoor activity, such as: board games and mirror ball.
Yoona is really thoughtful.

I'm in love with the mirror ball. It really makes the atmosphere become so much in karaoke.
I love it. I love it. I love it.
The guest finally back from grocery shopping and a bit taken a back seeing the house with such splendid lighting. Hahhaaa.
Sangsoon who finally escape from his DJ world comes out and also surprised with the mirror ball effect.
He loves it. Haha.

The guest bought dinner today and they're having warm dinner together.
The food supplies also refilled again. Famine is over.

Is stop snowing in airport, fortunately the new guest who previously said that their flight is cancelled have made it to Jeju.
Our new guest is coming.
It supposed to be 3 of them, but only 2 person can arrive that night and the other 1 will come tomorrow.
The Judoist also finally come back to the house feeling apologetic.
They even said that they should sleep in tent to make no more problem for the owner.
Hahahaa.
You girls must be having such hard time.

The sleeping arrangement will be: all the girls are upstairs and all the boys (even the new guest) will be downstairs.
They are all getting ready for dinner. The Judoist bring so much food with them, as expected.
Hyori and Sangsoon not join with dinner and decide to have a rest in studio.
We get a teaser for Sangsoon's new song.
I like the song, it sounds very calming. Sound so Sangsoon-ish.

Infinity Challenge Totoga 3 (Episode 557)

Finally, the new Infinity Challenge ToToGa series is here!
YEAAAY!!!

I think I will write long for this recap.

I'm gonna be honest, Infinity Challenge is really not my cup of tea.
But I do enjoy some of their episode such as their Music Festival and ToToGa.

What is Totoga?
It stands for Toyoil Toyoil eun Gasu da (토요일 토요일은 가스다) which in English means Saturday, Saturday is for Singers.

Mmm, okay, I still don't get it.
Saturday, Saturday is for Singers is one of famous music broadcast on 1990s era.
I don't know the exact year when the program is broadcasting.
But, in Infinity Challenge, they make a special episode for ToToGa to reminiscing about Korean music in 90s.

For season 1, they made a music festival which consist of many popular groups and soloist in 90s, such as: Turbo, S.E.S, Cool, Jo Sungmo, Lee Junghyun, So Chan-wee, Jinusean, and Kim Jungmo.
I totally love the episode, especially for Cool performance. They are just so entertaining!

For season 2, they made a very special episode to reunite Sechskies.
You can google them and you will found out how big they were in 90s.
They were one of the best group from DSP Media.
They only active for 3years or so then suddenly disbanded during their peak, leaving so many fans heart broken.
I do know about Sechskies leader, Eun Jiwon, since I love him in varieties.
But to know the whole group and their discography is a new thing.
Thanks to Infinity Challenge, I become their fan.
The episode was such a success for broadcast and for the group.
The episode receive such a good rating.
And Sechskies officially become an active group again under YG Entertainment, except for one member who decides to not become a singer anymore.
Until now, they already release new albums and doing great.

For season 3, this season, the show treat us something great again, they make a reunion for H.O.T

 If you think their name is lame, you should search what it stands for.
Let me make it easier for you, H.O.T is Highfive Of Teenager.
So much respect for Lee Soo Man for making such an unforgettable group name.
Lee Soo Man? Do you mean the main guy of SM?
Yes, it is.
H.O.T was a group under SM Entertainment before they disband 5years later, leaving some of them stay in agency, and some of them left.
One of its member, Kangta, even become one of director (or something like that) in SM Entertainment now.

The episode start with Yoo Jaesuk and Haha come to some old unused studio of MBC.
Then the black curtain on background coming up, revealing a neon sign of ToToGa 3, marking the the began of new ToToGa series.
Both of them cannot contain their surprise.
Because, obviously, IT IS A BIG DEAL.
The crew showing up some old video for the hint: we can hear a loud scream of sooo many fangirls holding a white balloon. Which is no doubt a hint of H.O.T!!!!!

Oops, sorry for the kshowonline mark, I cannot remove it, lol.

Woohoooooooo!
H.O.T is the start of idol culture in Korean music industry.
They're legendary first generation of idol singer.

The crew introduce H.O.T awesomeness during their era:
1. They sold a total of 6 million albums
2. The number of their fans reached 100.000
3. They received awards from three major TV channels
4. They're the first idol group to be popular in China
5. They even appeared on the 9pm news (it really means that they were such a big deals back then. If you're not relevant, 9pm news is just a dream)
6. School even forbade students from leaving early (maybe during their concert or such things)
7. H.O.T created a fan club culture with the color coding (white is their representative color, just like Sechskies with yellow, DBSK with red, Super Junior with sapphire blue)
I heard it from time to time that their fans were the most extreme even compared to fan nowadays. You really cannot beat Club H.O.T, their fanclub name.


In conclusion, they were an iconic figure in the 90s.

Is it really possible to invite them?
The PD explain that they met them for the first time in 2015, but they couldn't invite them due to different opinion within the members.
The crew continuously approach them to appear in ToToGa.

On 2001, there were a rumors about the disbandment of H.O.T during their peak
Because of the rumor, at their concert, they promise to never disband
But unfortunately, one month later, they really disbanded.
Their fans were really disappointed by the news and start to campaign in front of SM office.
Kangta and Moon Hee Jun performed as solo artist.
The rest of members formed a group called JTL.
They don't resolve their misunderstanding between each other, and 17years have passed.
That's why the member very careful and needs many time to think about Infinity Challenge proposal to reunite.

The staff really couldn't give up about H.O.T, and they met again with each member separately on the beginning of 2018.

The member actually really wants to perform again, at least for the last time, for the fans who already waiting for 17 years.
They feel bad for the fans who might already tired from waiting for them.
And it got me very emotional.
I think about what if my bias group in the same situation, I would really love it if they comeback together as a whole again.

The PD then give them a suggestion to think about it carefully without contact with other member. The given time is one day.
They need to focus on their thought and their fans.
If they really want to perform together again on this ToToGa 3, then they have to come to their debut stage tomorrow.
The said place is actually the old studio where Yoo Jaesuk and Haha is waiting right now.

Yoo Jaesuk and Haha waiting there with anticipation and worries, since not all member might come.

Then the camera on the building entrance shows that there is someone is coming.
With such a high hope, it turns out that the one who's come is Yang Sehyung.
HAHAHAHAHAAAA.
Such a troll. He is invited there since he is close with some of H.O.T member.
To properly met H.O.T, the three of them change the outfit to H.O.T's signature "Candy" outfit.
It was insanely popular during the promotion of their song, titled Candy.

Suddenly one person came, it is KANGTA, the main vocal and main visual.
Turns out that he actually already waiting for 20minutes before come in because he doesn't to come very early, but he is the first one to come, hahahaa.
He really nervous and drink water from time to time.

When their busy talk with each other, the other member come.
Kangta even know who is that just from the way that person walks.
It's TONY.
Kangta is full of smile.
Tony also said that he is very nervous today.
Yeah, me too.

Not long after another member come, MOON HEEJUN, the leader.
Now the remaining 2 member left.

Then, LEE JAE WON comes, the maknae.
The hyungs cannot hide their exitement.
Me too.
It's my first time seeing him and he left such a good impression.
He looks like having a unique personality, hahahaaa.

Lastly, the dancing machine, JANG WOO HYUK.
I literally screamed with a bit tears when he comes and all the members hug each other.
It's a really a touching moment.

Some of member even tearing up.
And here I am, cried.
Even though I'm not a fan, but I'm overwhelmed.
It must be very strange for the member for having all of them together like that with possibility to perform again.

They sat down for talk and their stories.
The crew show us their debut stage and as expected, it so cringy. Hahahaaa.
And we also got to see their last concert which filled with so many fans (around 80.000 people, wow!) and white balloon.
They were unrivaled.
Watching those old awesome videos, the member just said that actually it feels like watching someone else clip.
It hurts me a bit, since they said that actually they were so busy to the point they cannot enjoy the time of their peak.

I learn something interesting.
Found out, during their times, the ticket concert sold by bank!
So, the fans would camping outside the bank for days to get the ticket.
Jokingly Woohyuk ask: Banks don't sell them anymore?
Yoo Jaesuk: Where have you been all this time?
Hahahaa.

To proof that he's been living in 90s all this time, Woohyuk bragging about his outfit today.
He wear something that he wore back then.
He even still have the script of program they did back in their time.
To his amusement Heejun ask: Why do you have the scripts?
Woohyuk: I wonder if it become money.

He really loves his group to the point he keep the merchandise and outfits.

Then they were talking about their last concert.
Found out, the sad part of it is the fans didn't know that it was their last concert back then.
The truth is, the member also didn't know it was their last.
Kangta explains that the circumstances happen because they were so young and something happens that they couldn't handle.
That's why they always feels sorry for their fans.

Tony said that actually it feels like the world was end with their disbandment.
Since their group is the first generation idol, they don't really have someone to ask for advise.
They have to endure and deal with whatever circumstances they were given.
It such a sad story, actually.


Back to ToToGa.
As previous ToToGa, there is a rule they have to do before they can perform again: they have to score 95 at karaoke machine.

The first song is 'We Are the Future'.
The song start with such a heavy dance.
AND THEY LOOK SO COOL!
You can see how well Jang Woohyuk dance is.
He is one of the best, seriously.
Then we can witness that Kangta proves himself as main singer.
Unfortunately, the score only 94, lacking 1 point to be qualified.

Try again! They sing 'Warrior's Descendant' and 'Candy', but still got no good points instead they're just getting exhausted. Hahahaaa.

They need to choose sing oriented song, without any heavy choreo to have better score.
They tease Kangta saying finally it's the time for 'Light'.
Light is the song which made by Kangta himself.
It's Kangta favorite song and he even jokes that the ending must be 'Light'.
So that's why many SMTown concert ending song is 'Light', hahahahahaaa.
All the member joking that they should do this song from the start to have end it quickly. Lol.
The song is indeed great. One of my favorite.
AND THEY GOT SCORE 95.

HAHAHAHAAAA.
So it's all in Kangta's scheme. Hahahaaa.

By them passing the minimum score.
They will start to prepare for their performance.
A lot of practice and preparation are needed.
The most challenging is because of their stamina and physical condition is not young anymore, so it must be hard for them.

During the preparation, they are thinking about the song selection.
They have to choose 9 songs to be performed.
Moon Heejun jokingly said: Let's just sing 'Light' for 9 times, to a delight from Kangta.
Hahahahaaa.

We got to see a bit shot of their practice.

 
And I have to say, I DO LOVE JANG WOOHYUK DANCE!
All of them can dance good, but Jang Woohyuk is just another level.
He can dance the same routine with others, but he looks so much better.
Such a skill which left me in awe.

The concert will be held on 15th February.
The reservation for their concert is OPEN for one week and makes the homepage crash.
It shows how greatly anticipated this concert is.
During the previous ToToGa, the total applicants for one week is about 70k.
But for H.O.T, in just 3.5hours, the applicants already hit 50k!
WOW!

One day, the Infinity Challenge member and H.O.T member sit together.
They talk about a practice video that Woohyuk upload in his SNS.
Jaesuk: didn't you hear anything from your acquaintance after posting it?
Woohyuk: I've heard a lot.
Jaesuk: what they said?
Woohyuk: they said that I'm cool.

Found out, after Woohyuk upload his dancing practice video, Kangta also put his singing practice video on his SNS. Hahaha.
ALSO, Tony upload in his SNS that he is receiving treatment for his knee. He explains that actually it's not a big deal, but there is even a news about that and he feels sorry.
Heejun also update that he success losing some weight. Wow, that's impressive.
But then, there is no much news about Jaewon.
To everyone surprise Jaewon said that he also actually put something in his SNS, BUT NO ONE KNOWS. Poor maknae.


The total applicants for one week is 170.000 PEOPLE!
That's a new record.
Proofing their class still the top.

From that day on, the crew will start to contact the applicants who win the ticket.
Today they will call some of their fan and see their reaction.
Their fans reaction was really CUTE and so relatable tbh.
My favorite is the Ottohke woman, hahaaa. You should watch the episode to know what I mean.

After they call some fans, the episode ends left us with anticipation for next week.
The actual concert.

Hyori's Bed and Breakfast Season 2 Episode 3 Recap

Here we are, with a new episode and our happy dozes.

We left when the Judo athletes going out.
While the employees are having their relaxing time, a new face come through the winter cloud of Jeju: it's 2 lovely ladies, our 2nd guest, the Yeon sister. Their name was Yeon-seon and Yeonju.

As per usual, they have to call when they arrive at Jeju.
Hyori offers them to just having meal at the lodging since there are some abalone porridge left.
Then, all the employee start to work! With some heroic music as BGM, lol
But, while everyone is busy, they seem to forget that they're heating the porridge and it's left unattended.
Oh no! The porridge gonna get burn.

In midst of a bit chaotic house with busy employee, there is another guest come!
Wow, it will be quite busy today onward.
This time is a group of 3 young man, which seems bringing their surfing board and a lot lot luggage, our 3rd guest.
(I will just name the guest based on their arrival, I'm too lazy to name it all, hha)
Are they going to stay long like my beloved Explorer group from season 1?
Gosh, I miss them again.

Finally, the 2nd guest arrive at the house.
Sangsoon comes out to greet them, and then my favorite comment comes out from their mouth: HE IS HANDSOME! hahahahaaaa..
The 2nd guest is from Seoul. Turns out they are sisters with 7years age difference, I thought they're a friend, lol. They looks like having the same age in my eyes.

Not long after, here comes our wild (?) boys, the surfer.
They are a surfing friends.

Sangsoon starts to explain the basic rule to them.

Since all the guest not yet having lunch, they eat the Abalone porridge together with additional beef that Hyori made.
At dining table, the new guest start to getting now to each other, asking for name, age, etc which make Hyori said that those kind of conversation happens a lot on night club. Hahahaaaa.

When, all the guest and employee having lunch, Hyori goes to 2nd floor and rest.
She is not feeling well since this morning.

After the meals, all the guest goes out to their own destination.
Yeon sisers go to hiking trail.
And later we found out that the athletes are going to pick tangerines.
While the surfer team go to sea, checking the sea condition for tomorrow surfing session.
Finally, it's calm again inside the house.
Our employees can have a rest for a while.

And the weather getting worse.
The surfer having a hard time at beach due to strong wind and snow. They even walk in so much struggle.
The sea also seems not friendly for surfing. They just can hope that the weather tomorrow is better and decide to go back.

At home, it's about the time to take the dogs out for a walk.
But since the weather is so bad, they decide to take them not so far, just in walking range from home.
It suppose only Sangsoon who goes out, but some of pets don't want to go without Hyori.
They even search diligently for their mom who is hiding. Hahaa.
Cuties. Seriously.
Finnaly Hyori gives in and goes out with them despite her body condition.
It shows how much Hyori loves her pets.

After that, all the employee having a warm time with warm time while listening to one of Yoona's song. With some stories about Hyori and Sangsoon during their dating time.

They play some other song: Goodbye by Sun Sung Jae, Yoona cannot hold her tears.
The couples startled because of Yoona's tears, but not asking further, in respect to her private life.
Hyori just said that it's okay to cry. And let her having her time alone outside. And it took some time for her to calm down and stop crying.
I always love how the couple is really warm to other people.

And... the sun set in Jeju.
The athletes come back.
The employee start to make dinner: Samgyetang!
I LOVE SAMGYETANG so much!
One of my favorite Korean dish. Perfect for cold weather.
They eat deliciously with Sashimi which the guest buy on the way home.

Yeon sisters also comeback and met the athletes.
With their arrival, they sat together again to eat Waffle which Yoona's made.
The sisters also tell us some story about 4.3 Memorial Hall during their hike.
The memorial was made to remember 433 dead people who died during Jeju 4.3 incident.
Jeju 4.3 incident is a series of events between communist and civilian between.
Thanks to them, we got some history about Jeju who actually have sad past.

The night getting late and the surfer not yet to come.
And the weather not getting better.
On the way home there are some traffic due to a truck stuck in ice and cannot move forward.
Our surfer took initiative to give a hand to the truck by helping pushing the truck forward so it can get free from the ice.
Such a fine young men.

Meanwhile..
The battle for doing dishes occurs again. Hahahahaa.
Of course the athletes won. No surprise.

Hyori laying down in living room since she is still not well, while Sangsoon prepares the Ger.
It must be though for her to act fine in front of the guest.

Hyori and Yoona hacing some chat time with Yeon sisters.
The younger sister tells that even she is in a vocal major, but in reality she's not feeling that she's exceptionally great.
Yoona and Hyori can relate so much. In fact, both of them also feel the same, and it also hard for them.
Yoona comfort them saying that: they don't to be good at everything. Don't stress about that too much. Since there are people who not as good at you will think you're outstanding, because people always look up.
It such a good words with such sincerity.

Not long after, the surfer finally come back, and all the guest is not at home.
It feels like a holiday from a huge family, hahahaa.
All the guest having their time together getting know to each other in Ger, while the employees having a rest.
It's a bit sad since it's the last night for the athletes.

During the night, the weather really get worse.
It's snow storm outside and every body get alarm message that the road is closed due to snow.
Whoaaaaa.
Winter in Jeju seems harsh.

Hyori's Bed and Breakfast Season 2 Episode 2 Recap

The episode start when our first guest come.
The girls are Judo athletes, 23years old, college student.
I love the part when they fangirling towards Sangsoon and surprised when they realize Yoona is there, that was just cute.

Yoona and Hyori start to make a welcome drink. A tea and tangerine juice from the one they pick yesterday (episode 1).
Since the guest said that they're hungry, Sangsoon makes a reservation to Donkatsu (Pork Cutlet) restaurant nearby.
When the guest about to go out, the couple remind them to hurry comeback when they feels like the snow is going to pile up.
Yeah, it can be dangerous.

Once the guest on the car, they start gossiping about how pretty Hyori is and how small Yoona's face is. I forever cannot understand the relation between face size and beauty.
The employee split into two teams.
Yoona and Sangsoon go to grocery shopping.
Hyori go to take the dog outside.
The funny thing is, Sangsoon and Yoona are still awkward with each other. During they time together is car, I can feel their awkwardness from here. Hahahaaa.

On contrast, Hyori is having a great time with the dogs to a place where she came with Sangsoon last summer on Season 1. We can see clearly the place which was green on Summer, now covered white with snow.
And the crew put an amazing BGM: Snowman - Jung Seung-Hwan, which is the lyrics written by IU. So full of sense.
Then I'm cracking up when they put lyrics as if it's the video for karaoke.

Back to Yoona and Sangsoon.
We can see how thoughtful Yoona is when she takes initiative to buy Hyori hairpin, since Hyori always said that her bangs are annoying.

Then suddenly Sangsoon said there is Kimbab restaurant nearby, but he well aware that he get scold from Hyori is he buy it. But still, he try to call her and ask for permission, then rejected firmly. Hahahaaa.
Yeah, we're totally understood who is the boss.
They got back to the house.
They put the slipper, in the house and in the Ger.
They put open-air tub clothes in temporary dressing room. Apparently, they also put temporary dressing room outside, near the open-air tub. We didn't get to see it in the first episode. Or is it just me who didn't notice? Lol

Meanwhile, where is our guest go?
We get to see how they're doing in Donkatsu restaurant. As expected from athletes, they eat deliciously.
Then the guest go to Camellia Hill, as planned.
The hill is really beautiful. It filled with Camellia flowers, fitted it's name.
They surely take a lot photos there. They definitely have to do that since the place just really pretty.
It always amaze me how Jeju always have beautiful landscape wherever the guest go.

At house, Hyori invite Yoona to draw together.
They're having a good quite time to draw something.
I love the scene.
It looks quite and calming.
One of the charm of this show, seriously.
They can take it slow, but for me, it never makes me bored.
It makes me wish to have such a slow life like that.
Just like what Yoona said: I'd like to spend a lot of lovey-dovey time with my husband like you, too.
But then Hyori states the fact: if you're with your husband 24/7, you guys will get into fights.
Hahaha. That's the reality.

Yoona then starts to cook Mille-feuille nabe. I have no idea what kind of dish is that.
But, it looks delicious, especially in cold weather. It has lots of veggies, a bit meat, and warm broth.
Yumm!

They accompany the meals with Soju, then Yoona start the famous aegyo.
But when Hyori tries to copy, Sangsoon said that she looks dirty.
Hahahahahaaa.
Well, I also try it to my hubby, his reaction was the same with Sangsoon. Lol lol lol.
Aegyo is just not for everyone. Haha.

Sangsoon wondering what the athletes eat for dinner.
Cuts to scene where the guests is eating deliciously at restaurant with ENDLESS REFILL JEJU BLACK PORK.
That restaurant might experience a loss that day. Hahahaaa.
The owner even ask them: do you love black pork that much or did you eat a lot on purpose?
The athletes: We ate a lot? This is a lot? How many servings did we eat?
The owner: 17 to 18 serving. (!!!!!!)
Th.. that's.. a lot..

After the employees finish eat desert, they start to prepares the mattresses and blanket for guest to sleep. Not long after, the guests back to lodging. They decide to try the open-air warm tub tomorrow morning.

At dawn, the snow pilled outside. But suddenly the snow turn into hail.
It looks so scary with the thunder and all.
On the morning, there is even a message from government about high wind alert.
Yoona worried about the new guest, whether they can arrive or not with such weather.

Yoona starts to work in the kitchen, making breakfast: Abalone porridge, when unconsciously the athletes staring at her with admiration. Who doesn't tho, it's Yoona.
The couple prepares the open-air tub. It takes 2 hours to fill up the tub with warm water.

Hyori and the guest sit together with a cup of warm tea, when they suddenly talk about Park Bogum.
One of the guest is the fan of him.
Then Hyori said that Park Bogum ever said that his ideal type is Hyori, and the fan cannot believe it. Lol.
She even try to dig up from old new to confirm Hyori stement.
Hyori said that she really wants to meet him one day.
She absolutely don't know that in few hours the said Park Bogum will become her part-time employee.

Cuts to scene when Park Bogum ring the bell as the new employee and set the house into chaos.

The caption describes his as: good at cooking, good at cleaning, good pianist, loves dogs, has a bright smile smart, and handsome when he's sleeping.
Can I have my own Park Bogum for eye candy purpose? hha


I don't know whether Park Bogum comes when the fan still there or not.
Hopefully she still there, it would be such a joyous and unforgettable meeting for her.

After meals, the guests try the warm open-air tub.
Yoona takes a photo of them an edit it with an apps, and they look so cute.
Yoona also takes a photo of the couple and edit it with face swap feature.
AND IT TURNS OUT HILARIOUS!

I laughing so hard looking at the photo result.
HAHAHAHAAA.
Hyori said while looking at the photo: this woman looks very picky, not easy going, and very adamant. But she is great with Yoga. And has a very handsome husband.
Hyori jokingly worry: what if our daughter looks like this? What if our daughter looks like this?
Sangsoon: she looks like she can survive anywhere.
HAHAHA.

And the episode ends when the guests are going to go out.

As expected, the episode serve us a warm and fun feeling through out.
Can't wait for next week episode!





 

Hyori's Bed and Breakfast Season 2 Episode 1 Recap

Finally it's here.
I've been so excited when I read the news that they will going for Season 2.

And it seems like the audience of the show also feel the same since the premier of this Season already hit a good rating and become a trending topic in Korean's web portal.

Surely who can get enough of Lee Hyori with his sweet husband Sangsoon.
I love Hyori since Family Outing days.
And I just get to know Lee Sangsoon after the first season. You can't help but falling to his charm once you watch the show. He even get the tittle Nation's Husband.

Thus, in instant, Hyori's Bed and Breakfast become one of my favorite show.
It shows the dynamic of running a B&B with the varies of guest and their chemistry with their employee. For the season 1, the employee is IU a.k.a Lee Jieun. The beautiful nature of Jeju Island is also an additional treats that we can enjoy in every episode.


After the success of Season 1.
Now, we all ready to enjoy the new season.

Introduction

As a start, the crew treat us a whole new scenery: Jeju Island covered with snow.
Compared to season 1 which filmed during Spring-Summer. This season filmed in Winter. We can expect a new vibe already.

They start the day with a warm tea, as usual.

They both look so awkward again with the camera. 

It does feel like a dejavu when they start the first season, lol. 

They narrow down about what they need to do to their guest: EAT WELL and SLEEP WELL.

Well, I agree with the couple. Those are the basic and most important one.

FIRST: Eat Well.

Cue to all the delicious meals they made. 

God, how I love how homey the dish are.  

They also give us the glimpse when Park Bogum enjoys the food, like a cutie he always is.

What? Park Bogum? Yes, Park Bogum. He will become a part-timer employee, but there is no additional info besides that. So, let's just waiting while enjoy the show.

SECOND: Sleep Well.
They decide to let the guests sleep to their content, without waking them up or morning Yoga. And they joke that is sounds like a nursing home, hahahhahahahaaa.
Yeah, they say that, but then they give us preview when Hyori doing morning karaoke around the house to wake up the guest. That part just so funny.
Well, who can complain when you're being woken up by Hyori.

They also made a modification to the house to give the best service for their guest.
There are additional facilities which the guest can use. The B&B new pride:

1. Warm Open-Air Tub

 They really can do something like this? 

They freakin' installed an Open-Air Warm Tub!!

 2. Ger

The couple called is as Ger. But the translation said it a Yurt.

But I will use Ger, since they originally said that.

It looks so cozy and warm.

If we have camp fire on first season to sit around at night.

On winter, they can sit together warmly in the Ger.

Then...
They introduce us our new employee, Yoona.
Our lovely lady Yoona.

Cuts to Yoona interview with the crew.

Our new employee spec:
1. She can cook many dishes
2. She can speak a bit Chinese and Japanese
3. Can drive
4. *highlighted* Overflowing passion

Finally, it's the D-1

Sangsoon starts the day feeding the pets and wiping floor.
And then the couple receive message from their soon-to-be-their-new-employee saying that she (since we already knew it's Yoona) already on the plane heading to Jeju.

Hyori suddenly become so excited and curious about the new employee and decided to start cooking a meal.
While the couple prepares and clean the house, the new employee rings the bell.
Hyori shouts: IT'S YOONA!
The couple seems delighted. Who doesn't?

Hyori even running outside with umbrella welcoming her. And soon, Sangsoon also come out help her bring her luggage inside.

Hyori said that actually Sangsoon hope for male employee because they need to do a lot firewood since it's winter. (Now we know the purpose of Park Bogum there. I hope our Bogum will become much help later. I suddenly remember how clueless and innocent he is on Youth Over Flower. His action just woken up my motherly instinct, hahahhaaa.)
Then Yoona said that she can do that.
But Sangsoon said there is no way he can ask her to do that.
Seriously, who can ask Yoona to do that. In addition, he is Sangsoon, our sweet man, the Nation's Husband.

They start to have a meal together and explain what they need to do today.
Yoona jokes: so that's why you're feeding me first. Hhaha.

The couple introduces her new work station: the kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, 2nd floor, etc. We can see that in few days ahead, the house already feels like home to her and she doing her job diligently.

The total applicant were about 210.000 people!
I really admire the crew to select and interview them all. Because seriously, the guests are also a main aspect for this show. It will affect the dynamic of the show so much. My favorite of Season 1 is the Explorer team, they were just so fun!


After they finish their meal, they start to do the preparation for welcoming the guest tomorrow.
Part 1: Eat well -> pick tangerine guest's welcome drink
Part 2: Eat well -> grocery shopping
Part 3: Eat well -> buy breads
Part 4: Sleep well -> buy winter blanket

After buying all the needs, they get back to lodging, Sangsoon start cooking for dinner while Yoona wash the dishes.
Then, out of the blue, Hyori starts to try understand Yoona character by reading some unidentified book (some kind of fortune telling actually, lol).
It goes on for while even after Sangsoon calls for help.
It makes Yoona sit uncomfortably in dilemma to help Sangsoon or sit there with Hyori.
The confusion really looks cute with an intense violin BGM to boots, it's hilarious.
To eventually Sangsoon calls them: Harry Up! Hahahahahaa.

They starts dinner deliciously.
The menu is: Pasta and Steak. Gosh, this show also is not good to watch when you're hungry. It makes you carving for something good.
After meals, they listen to Girls Generation song, Holiday!
I'm not a fan of GG but actually the song sounds fun, I have to check it on Youtube.

After that, Yoona sent to her lodging for having some rest, with an assist from Sangsoon who help her bring her luggage. Her residence is the same as IU's but the layout is a bit different. I like how cozy it always looks.

The new morning embarks.
Our couple start the day with morning Yoga. It always to crack me up when they doing Yoga at the studio. The instructor passionate voice telling a Yoga position name (which for not a Yoga fan like me sounds like a spells, lol) so hilarious.

Sun sets up.
Yoona wake up a bit late and seems to hurry up.
There's no way she can be late on the first day!
She run to the main house bringing something: it's the infamous Waffle Maker.
Yoona start making a waffle dough and put it in the machine.

Not so long after, the waffle is done. The shape looks good!
The couple also let us know that the taste also great.
It. Makes. Me. Craving. For. Waffle. Gosh!

Infamous Waffle Maker?
Let me tell you about it. It does look splendid and sophisticated.
It suddenly become a number 1 search and quickly sold out after the episode airs. Hahaha.
Even causing netizen suspect whether the Waffle maker is a product placement.
The production team have to clarified this issue issue and told us that the machine is purely what Yoona prepares for the couple.

After a warm yummy breakfast, they start cleaning the house.
We can see how hardworking Yoona is. Even Hyori praise her cleaning skill.

Finally, we get introduced to our first guest.
The bright 5 youths who is apparently a Judo athletes.

Once the guests arrived by their car, they scream frantically once they saw Sangsoon.
The caption is: Screaming for Sogil's (the area of their home) handsome guy.
HAHAHAHAHAHAAA.
One of them said, "He's not ugly at all!"
I'M LAUGHING OUT LOUD.
I can feel you all. He is just a pure charm.

Before we got to know them better, the episode ends here.
Leaving us the anticipation of next week episode with their new cheerful first guest, and the second guest comes in shortly.

The new Season exactly living up the expectation from the previous season.
It still has the same warm vibe.
Hyori and Sangsoon still sweet and comical as ever.
Not to mention Yoona!
As I told you before, I'm not GG fan, but I like her. She always seems so bright, working hard, and friendly despite her high rank celebrity status.
I can expect more interesting story within this season carried out by Yoona. I think it would be more lively with her around.
And it's no more a secret that, we will also have a new part-time employee, PARK BOGUM!
We haven't see him yet, but it left us with another anticipation.
